About Us
Women's Cancer Support (WCS) Inc is a registered charity committed to supporting cancer warriors and survivors within the Gold Coast, Scenic Rim and Northern New South Wales regions of Australia.
We offer both online and in-person assistance through regular meetings and events at our new WCS Haven facility at Nerang.
We collaborate with 2 universities who collect our feedback and process data for funding applications. We also help them with their research and to source information for podcasts/videos/broadcasts which help other cancer patients throughout Qld.
We've achieved a lot in our first 6 years and continue to assist local women with cancer - including advocacy - with the assistance of our committee, volunteers and sponsors.
The Support We Offer
You can connect in our private online social media groups, in-person at our WCS Haven location, based at Nerang or within your postcode areas.
You can benefit from our comfort and care packs and items and receive a personal hospital visit.
We also offer a variety of exercise, leisure, craft and art classes to assist with physical and mental well-being.
Donate
Our charity runs purely on donations and grants and we are incredibly grateful for assistance in our rental, equipment and other running expenses.
None of our volunteers are paid. Neither are our board or committee members.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible as we are a DGR - Deductible Gift Recipient - charity.
